Next working day deliveries
Any product which is shown as a next day delivery will be delivered by a courier. This means that the item will be brought to the doorstep only.
Typically you will see on our website the following lead times:
- 5-7 Working days
However, in some cases with customised or heavy items delivery lead times will vary and can change at any time. We will confirm to you via email after placing your order with a more accurate delivery date.
Tracking your order
Once your order is accepted you will be sent an email with a delivery update (usually within 24 hours).
If your order is for delivery only, depending on which depot your order leaves from you may be sent a reference to track the 3rd party carrier service. Additionally, if you supply a mobile number some carriers will send a text notification.
If your order is for installation, on the day of installation our teams have instructions to ring the contact number provided when they are leaving their previous job and inform you of an ETA.
All kerbside deliveries are delivered to your kerbside only. For heavy safes we recommend installation by our qualified safe engineers. Any heavy items that qualify for free delivery to kerbside will need to be moved to the location of your choice by yourselves. It is recommended for all our safes to be delivered and installed by our qualified safe engineers.
Delivery & Installation
All safes ordered using our delivery and installation service will be delivered and fitted by one of our qualified safe engineers at a suitable (pre-agreed) location in your premises.
Additional costs usually apply when:
- The safe requires a special installation OTHER than the manufacturers recommendations
- There are more than the agreed steps along the access route
- The safe is too big to fit through doorways or along corridors
The correct installation of your safe is very important and The Safe Centre therefore recommends that you use the services of a professional safe installer or locksmith when base fixing your safe. This particularly applies to very heavy safes that you wish to position upstairs. If you decide to install your own safe we recommend that you seek the approval of your insurance company in advance of doing so.
Any product which is shown as deliver and install will be bolted down for you and is based on ground floor with 1 step. Typically you will receive delivery in 5-7 working days.
Delivery using these services will be booked in with you over the phone so you know in advance when it will take place.
If an item is out of stock (and therefore will take longer to deliver) you will be notified (during the working week).
All deliveries require a customer signature on delivery.
All items are delivered Monday to Friday, between 9am and 7pm.
Deliveries to Other Floors Via Steps / Stairs
We are happy to deliver to upper floors without lift access but please note this will be subject to an additional charge. A pre-delivery questionnaire will need to be completed in order to give a quote. Please call us for more information.
In some cases a site survey may be required at an additional cost.
We regret that in the event of an aborted delivery additional charges will be payable to us and are quoted per delivery, as and when they should arise.
An aborted delivery can be due either to missing delivery information such as more steps at the delivery address than originally stated on your order or out of service lifts, inaccessible doors.

Customers may cancel their online order at any time for stock line products. Orders for non-catalogue items can only be cancelled after consultation/agreement with The Safe Centre Sales Department. In either case the customer is requested to contact The Safe Centre.

If customers wish to cancel their order after the goods have been despatched, the goods can be returned at the customer’s own expense unless the items in question have been customised for you.
If you're not 100% happy with your new product, you can return to us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of your safe. However, delivery charges are at your own expense. In this case please contact us with your order confirmation and reason for your return and a member of staff will be in contact with you to arrange a suitable collection date. We do ask you to email us a photo to confirm the condition of the item before we send our delivery team to collect the item.
Once we have collected the item from you then we will give you a full refund within 15-20 working days. Please note that delivered items must be in the same condition that they arrived in to be eligible for a full refund. Please refer to our terms and conditions for further information. To return your unwanted item(s) you must contact us within 7 days of delivery to obtain a return code (RC).
Your item(s) must be unused and have the original packaging for a full refund.
Any item(s) returned will have the original delivery fee deducted from the total.
Exclusions include made to order items that have been built to specification and/or items that have been fitted as requested.
Postage or carriage to return the item is at your own cost.
Please allow 30 days for the refund to show in your account.
We do expect your item to arrive intact when it leaves our delivery depot. If however, a damage has occurred during transit, please don't panic. All we ask is that you thoroughly check the product and contact us straight away using our online contact form or call us on 020 8207 7375. When contacting us please quote your order number. We will immediately send out a replacement and collection free of charge. This saves you calling and we can action your request quicker. We do ask you to email us a photo to confirm the damaged item before we send out a replacement. Please contact us within 7 days and report any faults.
For faulty items we may offer you a repair, exchange or refund as appropriate in accordance with your legal rights.
All of our items sold have a manufacturer’s warranty on workmanship of a minimum of 1 year (the lock varies depending on the manufacturer). Please contact us direct to deal with any problems that you may have or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
